Professional Statement

Finance and analytics professional with over a decade of experience across financial due diligence, FP&A, and data-driven operational analysis.

My background includes transaction due diligence at PwC and KPMG for private equity and corporate acquirers, and institutional reporting at Oaktree Capital Management, followed by building forecasting systems, KPI models, and revenue engines inside operating businesses. That work is grounded in a healthy skepticism developed through due diligence, paired with the finance and accounting fundamentals used to validate assumptions, improve data quality, and ensure analytical rigor, often under tight timelines.

Most recently, I advised Metal AI's product team on financial workflows for private equity diligence tooling, translating deal methodology directly into product, a vantage point inside the PE ecosystem rather than adjacent to it.

An MBA at UCLA Anderson (FEMBA) is the next step toward sharpening that leadership toolkit and moving toward the principal side of dealmaking and strategy.

Personal Background

Born in São Paulo, then raised across Venezuela, India, and Singapore before ever setting foot in the U.S., I grew up reading rooms for a living: figuring out what was actually being communicated underneath the words, who held influence, and how trust got built differently from one culture to the next. That instinct is still the foundation of how I try to lead.

One of the more useful ideas from my FEMBA coursework has been the research on psychological safety: a diverse team's potential only converts into results once its members feel safe enough to disagree, ask questions, and admit what they don't know. Having spent my childhood as the one translating between cultures, that idea landed immediately, building a diverse team isn't the hard part; building the conditions that let people actually speak up is.

Outside of work, I train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which I've come to enjoy precisely because it's problem-solving under extreme pressure: a live puzzle where panic is the fastest way to lose, and the person who stays calm and keeps thinking usually wins. It is the same instinct I try to bring everywhere else, staying clear-headed when the stakes are real.
